What is out of school service?

Out of school service is run especially for school going children of working parents. They are open before and after school hours. Some are also open during school holidays. These nurseries are registered with the council and their work and place are regularly inspected.

There are different types of such services like breakfast clubs, after school clubs, holiday playschemes etc.

What are the benefits of using an out of school service?

The benefits are obvious. If you are a working parent of school going chil(ren), it is important that you have a facility whereby your child(ren) can be looked after in a professional manner ouside school hours.

This arrangement is also stimulating for the child who gets to enjoy the company of other children.
